Last weekend, we went to a birthday party for one of Stella’s friends from day care. This is the second party we have attended at the Children’s Discovery Museum, leaving me to ask myself: Is this the McDonald’s Playland of the new millenium?
The kids are free to run amok — all in the name of “educational discovery” allowing parents to not have to concern themselves with the regular annoyances that come with taking your child into a public place. In fact, the only real parenting we had to do was to keep Stella from railroading all the other kid’s with her relentless need to climb through the life-sized digestive track.
I’m thinking we need to build one of these in our backyard.
